Holopuni Hawaiian voyage 2025

This August 2025, Holopuni sailing canoe crews from Hawai‘i, Tahiti, and Aotearoa (New Zealand) will unite to voyage across six Hawaiian islands. Starting from Maui on August 10th, 2025, twelve crews will navigate the storied waters of Maui, Kaho‘olawe, Lāna‘i, Moloka‘i, and O‘ahu, before landing at Hanalei, Kaua‘i on August 22nd.

Organized by the Holopuni International Sailing Canoe Association (HISCA), this event celebrates the enduring legacy of Polynesian navigation, honoring the ocean, the land, and the cultural ties that connect our Pacific ‘ohana (family). This will be an educational opportunity to learn and share about the sites we will visit and also sharing our mission of promoting the Hawaiian Sailing Canoe culture and traditions at each stop.!
